Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced an open call for projects as part of its new Opioid Abatement Grant Program, inviting organizations, agencies, and service providers to submit proposals aimed at reducing opioid-related harm in the community. Made possible by funds from the National Opioid Settlement, this initiative is part of a nationwide strategy to address the ongoing opioid crisis and its effects on local families and individuals.

Applications will be accepted starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 30, and must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30. This initial application is a required first step to determine eligibility for the full grant process.
