Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana — The preliminary results from Calcasieu Parish for the November 5, 2024 election results reveal significant outcomes across multiple election categories, with a strong turnout of 58.3%. Below is a breakdown of key races and voter turnout.

Election results in Calcasieu Parish will be certified at a later date, but results are unlikely to change significantly if at all.

Presidential Electors

  • Donald J. Trump, "JD" Vance (Republican) led decisively with 69% of the votes, totaling 55,485 votes.
  • Kamala D. Harris, Tim Walz (Democratic) secured 30%, totaling 23,891 votes.
  • Other candidates, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Nicole Shanahan (We The People), received 324 votes or less, representing fractions of a percent each.

U.S. Representative Races

  • 3rd Congressional District:
    • Clay Higgins (Republican) emerged as the leading candidate with 58% of the votes, totaling 26,219.
    • Priscilla Gonzalez (Democratic) followed with 28% and 12,743 votes.
    • Smaller shares went to "Xan" John (Republican) and Sadi Summerlin (Democratic) with 3% and 10%, respectively.
  • 4th Congressional District:
