Interstate 10 Eastbound Exit 4 Ramp Closure for Maintenance Work

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that the Interstate 10 Eastbound Exit 4 off-ramp and on-ramp in Calcasieu Parish, near Vinton will undergo temporary closures for maintenance work. The closures are scheduled to take place from 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, until 6 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

During the closure period, only one ramp will be closed at a time to minimize disruption for drivers. The closure is necessary to facilitate milling and asphalt paving to ensure the safety and quality of the road infrastructure.

For travelers on Interstate 10 Eastbound seeking to use Exit 4 during the closure, an alternative route is advised. Drivers are encouraged to continue eastbound on I-10 and take Exit 7 (LA 3063) going North by making a left turn. From there, they should turn left on US 90 going West, and finally, turn left on US 90/LA 109 going South to reach their destination.

On the other hand, for those wishing to enter Interstate 10 Eastbound from US 90/LA 109, a detour route is recommended. Drivers should turn onto US 90 going East at the intersection of US 90/LA 109 @ LA 3112, then make a right onto LA 3063 going South. Finally, they can use the on-ramp to enter Interstate 10 Eastbound.

The closures and recommended detour routes have been put in place to ensure the safety of all road users and to expedite the maintenance work efficiently. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the designated detour routes to avoid any inconvenience during the closure period.
