Calcasieu Parish Announces Veterans Day Closures and Schedule Changes

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - Calcasieu Parish residents are advised of upcoming closures and schedule changes in observance of the Veterans Day holiday on Monday, November 11.

All Calcasieu Parish Police Jury departments will be closed on Veterans Day, resuming normal operations on Tuesday, November 12. However, garbage and trash pickup services provided by Waste Management will run according to their regular schedule. Customers with questions or concerns about the pickup schedule can contact Waste Management at 337-436-7229 or visit their website at wm.com/alerts for updates.

Additionally, the Residential Solid Waste Convenience Centers in Lake Charles and Sulphur will be closed on November 11. These facilities will reopen on Thursday, November 14, and operate according to their regular weekly schedule, which is Thursday to Monday, with closures on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The centers are located at 2915 Post Oak Road in Sulphur and 5500 B Swift Plant Road in Lake Charles.
