UPDATE (4/12/18) – The drive-thru clinic scheduled for April 14 at the Burton Coliseum Complex in Lake Charles has been canceled due to the threat of severe weather.

Another update will be posted if the clinic is rescheduled.

Coming up in March and April Calcasieu Parish Animal Services will be having their annual drive-thru rabies clinics in Sulphur and Lake Charles.

All dogs and cats in Louisiana that are over three months old must be vaccinated and licensed. The annual vaccination clinics help prevent the spread of rabies to both humans and other animals. Pets in the state are required to wear a rabies license tag.

Cost for vaccination and licensing (cash or check only – debit and credit cards will NOT be accepted):

Cats must be in portable kennels.

• Animals that are spayed or neutered – $8
• Unaltered pets – $10

Microchipping will also be available.
