Calcasieu Parish 2025 Property Tax Notices Mailed, Multiple Payment Options Available

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory has announced that 2025 property tax notices are currently being distributed to taxpayers throughout the parish, with multiple payment options available for residents.

Taxpayers can pay their 2025 property taxes through the new Calcasieu App or online via the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office website at www.cpso.com. Online payments are accepted with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards. The website also allows taxpayers to view and print their bills.

For residents preferring in-person transactions, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Tax Office is located in the Magnolia Life Building at 1011 Lakeshore Drive, Suite 100, in Lake Charles. The office operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and remains open through lunch. This location accepts cash, checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, and credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Credit card payments are not accepted over the phone.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Sulphur Law Enforcement Center at 1525 Cypress Street in Sulphur provides another payment location. The facility is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and remains open during lunch hours. This location accepts checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, and credit cards but does not accept cash payments.

The Calcasieu Parish Tax Collector’s Office will send representatives to three additional locations in December for taxpayer convenience. On Tuesday, Dec. 2, a representative will be stationed at the Moss Bluff Law Enforcement Center at 115 Bronco Lane from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Wednesday, Dec. 3, taxpayers can make payments at the Vinton Law Enforcement Center at 1302 Center St. from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Thursday, Dec. 4, the DeQuincy Law Enforcement Center at 618 E. Center Street will host a representative from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. These temporary locations accept cash, checks, money orders, cashier’s checks and all major credit cards.

The deadline for payment without interest or penalties is Dec. 31, 2025. Late payments accrue interest at a rate of 1% per month on a non-compounding basis and may be subject to additional costs mandated by Louisiana Revised Statutes.
