Calcasieu and Cameron Parish, Louisiana - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the upcoming closure of the southbound lane of LA 27 at Ellender Bridge for essential maintenance work. The closure dates and times are as follows:

  • Saturday, March 16, 2024, and Sunday, March 17, 2024: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Monday, March 18, 2024, through Friday, March 22, 2024: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During these periods, crews will be working on grid deck replacement, necessitating the closure of the southbound lane. To ensure the flow of traffic, flaggers will be present to guide vehicles across Ellender Bridge in both northbound and southbound directions.

Drivers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and consider alternative routes to avoid delays.
