This move comes after the gate was opened last week in response to the severe weather that swept through Southwest Louisiana, causing disruptions and raising concerns about water levels.

The most recent readings indicate that the water level at Bundick Lake now stands at 96.12 feet, a significant improvement from the peak pool stage of 99.49 feet recorded on Friday, April 12, 2024. This stabilization of the water level is a positive development.
