Boil Advisory Issued in Parts of Sulphur Due to an Overnight Water Main Break

Due to a water main break, water pressure in certain areas has dipped below the required levels. The City of Sulphur will immediately issue a precautionary boil advisory specific to the affected area.
The affected area includes all streets from Kim Street to Ruth Street and Logan Street to West Cal Boulevard (map below).
Water is expected to be restored as soon as possible.
If you were without water in this area, run faucets until water runs clear then take precaution and boil water before consumption.
Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one-minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled).
The City of Sulphur will notify the affected area once clear samples have been received from the state laboratory. Please note that due to the holiday there may be a delay in laboratory testing turnaround time.
