Body Recovered from Waterway near Old Highway 90-Burnout Bridge in Vinton, Louisiana

Vinton, Louisiana - On May 28, 2024, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 8:45 a.m. reporting a possible body floating in the waterway near Old Highway 90/Burnout Bridge in Vinton, Louisiana. Responding to the scene, the CPSO Marine Division successfully recovered the body from the water.

As the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, it is currently unknown whether foul play was involved. The authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, and further information will be released as it becomes available.
