Baton Rouge Police Department Investigating Shooting That Killed One and Injured Another on May 26

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed one person and injured another on May 26.

On May 27, 2023, the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) reported that Homicide Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of Ennis Abraham, 26 that occurred in the 3400 block of Main St at around 11:34 pm on May 26. A 2nd shooting victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities indicated that Abraham died at the scene and that the motive and suspect are unknown at this time.
