Avoid I-10 East Near Exit 31B in Lake Charles, Road Closed Due to a Jackknifed 18 Wheeler

Lake Charles, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the Lake Charles Police Department have closed Interstate 10 East near Exit 31B (US90, LA14, Shattuck Street exit) in Lake Charles due to a crash involving a jackknifed tractor-trailer.
Drivers are asked to avoid I-10 eastbound near Exit 31B (US90, LA14, Shattuck Street exit) in Lake Charles until approximately 2:30 am. As of February 17, 2022, at 1:30 am all lanes are blocked. Traffic is being diverted to Fruge Street.
