Authorities to Conduct DWI Checkpoint July 22 in Calcasieu Parish
Lake Charles, Louisiana – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on July 21, 2022, that in an ongoing effort to keep the citizens of Calcasieu Parish safe, CPSO will conduct a DWI checkpoint at an undisclosed location in the parish on Friday, July 22.
This checkpoint, which according to CPSO has been shown to be very effective in discouraging citizens from driving while impaired, will target people driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and people are more likely to designate a driver when they know sobriety checkpoints are being conducted.
The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission provided funding for this checkpoint.
