Authorities Searching for 2nd Lake Charles School Burglary Suspect After Arresting One
Lake Charles, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on March 25, 2022, that on March 21, 2022, CPSO deputies were dispatched to a local elementary school in Lake Charles in response to a burglary and theft.
During the initial investigation, detectives discovered that two unknown individuals gained entry into the school the previous day during the early morning hours by breaking a window. When the suspects got inside, they stole a wet vac, a floor scrubber, a backpack blower, a weed eater, and an unknown number of tissue boxes.
Following further investigation, detectives identified one of the suspects as Nicholas L. Dominique, 43, of Lake Charles, LA. On March 24, detectives spoke with Dominique, who confirmed he was the perpetrator of the burglary and theft. He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center, where he was charged with simple burglary, simple criminal property damage, and theft of $1,000 to $5,000. His bond was set at $56,000 by Judge Tony Fazzio.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the second suspect, who is depicted in the photos. Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact the CPSO at 337-491-3605.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
