Authorities in Louisiana Seeking Driver in Hit-and-Run Crash that Critically Injured a Pedestrian in Tangipahoa Parish

Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana – Authorities in Louisiana are seeking the driver in a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a pedestrian in Tangipahoa Parish.

According to the Louisiana State Police (LSP), Troopers from Troop L began investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened on LA Highway 3234 (University Avenue) at Puma Drive in Tangipahoa Parish on April 17, 2023, shortly after 05:00 a.m. The crash critically injured a pedestrian.

The crash occurred as the pedestrian was walking eastbound in the eastbound lanes of LA Highway 3234, according to the first investigation by State Police. An unidentified vehicle was heading eastbound on LA Highway 3234 at the same time. The unidentified vehicle struck the person for unknown reasons. The suspect briefly stopped after striking the pedestrian before departing the area.

The evidence at the scene indicates that the suspect vehicle is a dark hunter green 2003-2006 Chevy Silverado with front-end damage.

This crash is still being investigated, and Troopers ask that anyone with information about it call Louisiana State Police Troop L at (985) 893-6250 or their local law enforcement agency.
