Authorities in Louisiana Seeking Carjacking and Attempted Murder Suspect Last Seen in a 2014 Toyota Tundra with Arkansas Plates
Union Parish, Louisiana – Authorities in Louisiana are searching for a suspect believed to be involved in a carjacking and attempted murder, last seen driving a 2014 Toyota Tundra with Arkansas license plates.
On May 7, 2023, the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office (UPSO) reported that they are seeking a carjacking and attempted murder suspect who was last seen in the Spearsville (Rum Center) area. According to authorities, the suspect is 25-year-old Joseph Charles Burton. Burton is 5’8” tall, and 160 lbs, and is believed to have left the scene in a gray 2014 Toyota Tundra bearing Arkansas license plate ANI85J.
Authorities indicated that he is known to frequent the Spearsville, Louisiana, and Farmerville, Louisiana areas. Burton has outstanding felony warrants for Attempted Murder and Carjacking, Burglary of a Religious Building, Felony Damage to Property, and more.
UPSO is warning the public that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and that if they spot him, do not approach him, and call UPSO or 911 immediately.
