Authorities in Louisiana Searching For Suspect in Home Invasion and Attempted First-Degree Murder Case in Alexandria
Alexandria, Louisiana – Authorities in Louisiana are searching for a suspect in a home invasion and attempted first-degree murder case in Alexandria.
The Alexandria Police Department reported on June 23, 2023, that at 12:48 a.m., officers were summoned to an address in the 4000 Block of Lakeside Drive in reference to a shooting. The preliminary investigation found that a known assailant forced his way into an apartment and shot Tyruin Green, 25, of Alexandria, Louisiana. Green and another apartment occupant fled on foot and called the Alexandria Police Department. Green was sent to a nearby hospital for serious injury treatment.
The Alexandria Police investigators learned the identification of the suspect during the inquiry and issued a warrant for his arrest. Andrew D. Howard, 34, of Alexandria, Louisiana, has been named as the suspect. Howard is wanted on one count of home invasion and one count of attempted first-degree murder. APD indicated that Howard should be treated as armed and dangerous.
