Authorities in Louisiana Searching for Man Wanted in Connection with Theft of Travel Trailer, Portable Building, and Firearms
Sabine Parish, Louisiana - On February 7, 2023, Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron Mitchell reported that Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division had solved two recent felony theft cases and are asking for help locating a suspect.
A 31' travel trailer and a 10'x12' portable building were stolen from two victims near the Sabine-Natchitoches Parish line, near Marthaville, in mid-January. Two firearms were also inside the travel trailer.
Detective Don Flores investigated the cases and identified several suspects. Detective Flores was assisted by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Detectives with the investigation.
On January 27, detectives obtained and executed a search warrant on Richard Jordan Loop in Natchitoches Parish, off LA Highway 120, where the portable building was discovered.
Detectives discovered the travel trailer on February 3rd near a gas well in Desoto Parish. Authorities reported that the two firearms were not inside.
Authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Timothy Dustin Meshell, 38 of Natchitoches for Theft over $25,000 and two counts of Theft of a firearm.
Meshell is currently wanted and authorities are asking anyone with any information about Meshell's whereabouts to call Detective Flores at 318-590-9475 or leave an anonymous tip on the Sabine Parish Sheriff App.
According to Detective Flores, the investigation is ongoing, and more arrests and charges are expected.
Sheriff Mitchell and Chief Deputy Brad Walker praised Detective Flores and expressed gratitude to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Detectives for their assistance in this investigation.
A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
