Authorities in Louisiana Investigating Gunshots Fired at Vehicle and Asking For Help From Public in Identifying Suspect

St John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana – Louisiana authorities are investigating gunshots fired at a vehicle and are seeking help from the public to identify the suspect.

The St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office revealed on May 16, 2023, that detectives are investigating a shooting in Edgard, Louisiana.

According to reports, officers responded to a call for service regarding gunshots fired at an automobile on Sunday, May 14, 2023, around 11 p.m. When officers arrived, the 23-year-old female victim said that she was driving on LA18 when someone in an SUV started firing at her vehicle and then fled the scene.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the shattered glass.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information about this shooting call the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office TIPS line at 985-359-TIPS (8477) or Detective Lt. Doug Buckler at 985-233-9331. Authorities indicated that citizens can also submit tips on the Sheriff’s Office website.
