Authorities in Louisiana Asking For Help Locating Suspect Involved in Intentional Hit-and-Run Following Altercation at Truck Stop

Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Louisiana – Authorities in Louisiana are asking for help in locating the suspect involved in an intentional hit-and-run following an altercation at a truck stop.

On May 5, 2023, the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that Detectives are searching for Kayla Pointer, 18, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana in relation to an alleged Intentional Hit-and-Run, following an altercation that took place at the business of Super Lucky Louie’s Truck Stop and Casino in Port Allen, Louisiana on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

According to reports, Kayla has an arrest warrant for Principal to Attempted Second Degree Murder.

Detectives are also looking for a silver 2010 Chevrolet HHR, with no license plate information. Authorities indicated that this vehicle should have broken rear glass and a large crack on the lower driver’s side windshield.

The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone with information regarding Pointer’s whereabouts or the location of the owner of this vehicle call West Baton Rouge Parish Detectives at 225-343-9234 or Capital Region Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
