Missing Louisiana Woman Last Seen February 2 Located Deceased, Cause Being Investigated

The Union Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that Jones’ family contacted UPSO stating that they had found some clothing in a wooded area near her residence that may belong to Jones. Once on scene, deputies were informed that Jones’ body had been located, floating in nearby Edmonds Creek. The body was recovered and has been tentatively identified as that of Theresa Jones. The Union Parish Coroner’s Office was contacted, and the body was sent for an autopsy.
This case remains under investigation.

Union Parish, Louisiana – On February 3, 2023, the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office (UPSO) reported that it is seeking assistance locating a missing woman from Bernice, Louisiana.
According to authorities, Theresa Dawn Jones, age 56, is described as 5”6” tall and 163 lbs. Jones was last seen at her residence in the Evergreen community of Bernice, Louisiana on February 2, 2023.
She was last seen wearing pink pajamas. She left her cell phone and vehicle behind. Jones does normally wear eyeglasses.
