Authorities in Louisiana Asking For Help Locating 9th Avenue Armed Robbery Suspect in Lake Charles
Lake Charles, Louisiana – Authorities in Louisiana are asking for help locating a 9th Avenue armed robbery suspect in Lake Charles.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to a house on 9th Avenue in Lake Charles, Louisiana at around 7:00 a.m. on July 24, responding to a report of an armed robbery.
Upon their arrival, deputies were informed by the victim that the son of his roommate, 25-year-old Michael E. Malbroux from Lake Charles, together with another accomplice, had entered the victim’s room through a window and threatened him with a gun. The suspects reportedly threatened the victim, taking his money, keys, and mobile phone before making a quick escape from the location.
Detectives tried to find Malbroux but did not succeed. However, after a more in-depth investigation, they managed to obtain an arrest warrant against him. Judge Tony Fazzio authorized this warrant, setting bail at $180,000. The charges levied against Malbroux included home invasion, armed robbery, armed robbery involving the use of a firearm, and illegal firearm possession by a person with previous felony convictions.
