Authorities in Louisiana Asking for Help Identifying Suspect in April 8 Shooting and Attempted Robbery in Caddo Parish
Caddo Parish, Louisiana – Authorities in Louisiana are asking for help identifying the suspect in an April 8 shooting and attempted robbery in Caddo Parish.
According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies are investigating a late afternoon shooting that occurred on April 8 in the 3800 block of West Martin Luther King Drive.
According to deputies, the female victim, who was traveling with her three children from Atlanta, Georgia to visit family in the region, stopped to ask for directions after becoming disoriented. The woman informed deputies that after getting out of her vehicle, she was approached by a black male dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and black shorts. According to rep Torts, the man then attempted to rob her at gunpoint. As the gunman shot her in the forearm, the woman immediately ran.
According to deputies, she fled to a nearby apartment and honked her horn until help arrived. She was taken to Ochsner LSU Health with injuries that were not life-threatening. Her three children, who were still in the vehicle, were unharmed.
The robbery suspect is alleged to have fled on foot.
