Authorities in Louisiana are asking for assistance in locating a suspect wanted for a home invasion in Vernon Parish.

The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office has put out a request for help from the public in locating a suspect named Barney "BJ" Gordon, who is 30 years old and from Leesville, Louisiana.

Authorities believe that Gordon was involved in a home invasion that occurred on July 28, 2023.

The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office indicated that any individuals who are found to be assisting or hiding Gordon will face charges and legal repercussions.

Anyone with information related to Gordon's whereabouts is asked to call VPSO at 337-238-1311.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
