Authorities in Louisiana Asking for Assistance Locating Man with 3 Active Warrants for Contractor Fraud

Louisiana – The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on November 16, 2022, that detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying Wojciech Niznik, who has three current warrants for contractor fraud in St. John Parish, Louisiana. The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office received complaints from local residents in the summer of 2022 regarding Niznik’s contractor fraud.

Niznik’s last known location was Hammond, Louisiana. He is a native of Poland. also has ties to Illinois.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on Niznik’s whereabouts to contact Detective Lt. Michael Shard of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Cyber/Financial Crimes Unit at 985-359-8764.

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office also indicated that anyone with a related complaint that has not been reported should contact Detective Lt. Shard as soon as possible.

A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
