Authorities From Multiple Agencies Searching for Missing Louisiana Man Who Disappeared Under Suspicious Circumstances

Louisiana – On January 12, 2023, Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator reported that multiple agencies are searching for a Shreveport, Louisiana man who left home, and the family is worried about his wellbeing.

According to authorities, Micah Roberts, 22, was last seen leaving his grandparents’ home in the 12000 block of Boyter Lane on Wednesday after 1 a.m. He was last seen barefoot wearing a white shirt and khaki pants.

Caddo deputies were dispatched after 8 a.m. to a suspicious circumstance and Roberts’ welfare became a concern. Sheriff’s deputies assisted in the search with K9 search teams and drones.
Other agencies, both local and out of state, sent people to the region as the search continued. To search the region from above, the Texas Department of Public Safety Air Support Operations offered an airplane and Life Air provided a helicopter. On-the-ground assistance was supplied by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Shreveport Fire K9 Search & Rescue, and a Texarkana K9 volunteer organization.

Despite their gratitude, the Caddo Sheriff’s Office requests that members of the community refrain from volunteering in the search. There are currently strategic grid searches underway, which include the deployment of K9s.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office at (318) 675-2170.
