Authorities Asking for Help in Locating Burglary and Assault Suspect
DeRidder Police said on March 18, 2022, that they are investigating a report of an individual who entered a home on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 at approximately 7:00 PM. The unknown suspect was inside the house and attacked the resident when they returned home. The incident happened near the corner of Shirley and North Texas Streets. At approximately 7:30 p.m., the suspect fled on foot northbound.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating any home/business surveillance footage of the street view surrounding this area on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM in order to identify the suspect walking in the area.
The suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years of age, reddish or brown hair with balding on top, fair/pale skin, no facial hair, approx. 5’10” tall, 180-200 lbs, medium/stocky build, his teeth are dark and decaying at the gum line. His clothing description at the time of the incident was a black shirt, blue jeans, and no belt.
