Authorities Asking for Assistance in Multiple Drive-By Shooting Case in DeRidder

DeRidder, Louisiana - On July 27, 2022, the DeRidder Police Department revealed that they are investigating two different drive-by shooting events. According to investigators, the first incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. on July 18, 2022, and the second occurred shortly after midnight on July 27, 2022. There were no reported injuries in either shooting.

DeRidder PD stated that these shootings occurred in Pine Tree Lane and the Hillcrest area in the Twin Lakes Subdivision and that they suspect these shootings are tied to the so-called gangs that have been causing problems in the recent past.

According to authorities, they are receiving minimal information from people involved, and detectives are soliciting any information from the public. DeRidder Police are requesting anybody with information or home surveillance footage in the neighborhood to phone detectives at 337-462-8911 or Crimestoppers at 337-462-8918 to remain anonymous. Crimestoppers give monetary rewards for information that leads directly to the arrest and/or conviction of criminals.
