Authorities Asking For Assistance From the Public in Identifying Suspects in April 25 Drive-By Shooting in Avoyelles Parish
Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana – Authorities are asking for assistance from the public in identifying suspects involved in a drive-by shooting that occurred in Avoyelles Parish on April 25.
The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) reported on April 27, 2023, that on April 25, 2023, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Avoyelles 911 Communication Center received a 911 call reporting a drive-by shooting by unknown individuals in the 300 Block of South Live Oak Street in Simmesport, Louisiana. Deputies from the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) rushed to the scene.
APSO’s investigation reportedly found that the drive-by shooting took place in the 300 block of South Live Oak Street. Several gunshots were allegedly fired at people in the yard of a home on the street. A 22-year-old male who was standing in the yard was shot in the arm. The home and two vehicles were also riddled with bullet holes. Detectives from the APSO are investigating the shooting and attempting to identify the perpetrators. The SUV is characterized as a modern silver/gray model.
