Arrest Made in Deadly October 29 Hit-and-Run Crash in Louisiana
Louisiana - Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator said on October 31, 2022, that a Shreveport, Louisiana woman had been arrested following the death of a cyclist over the weekend.
Victoria Woodfork, 24, turned herself in to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office on Sunday, October 30. During the initial inquiry, Caddo deputies discovered evidence that matched Woodfork's automobile at the crash location. The inquiry revealed that she was driving her black Kia Forte in the 200 block of Mayo Road around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday when she collided with a cyclist. She did not stop to help or call for assistance. The homeless cyclist later died in the hospital.
Woodfork was arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on charges of hit-and-run driving. There is no bond.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
