Armed Robbery and Auto Theft Suspect Wanted in Louisiana After Allegedly Stealing a Victim’s Phone and Vehicle in East Baton Rouge
East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana – An armed robbery and auto theft suspect is wanted in Louisiana after allegedly stealing a victim’s phone and vehicle in East Baton Rouge.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO) has reported that detectives are looking for a suspect believed to have robbed a man at gunpoint of his cell phone and car keys in the 3000 block of Yorkfield Drive. Shortly after, the suspect left the scene with the Victim’s gray 2005 Honda Element.
Deputies began scouring the neighborhood and eventually found the vehicle behind 2120 O’Neal Lane. When the Deputy approached the victim’s vehicle, a black male suspect got out and began fleeing behind the Dollar Tree.
The suspect was last seen climbing a fence on Elkwood Dr near Foxwood Ave, according to deputies. A perimeter was established, and a search was done, but to no effect.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this event to call EBRSO Burglary at 225-389-5064 or Capital Region Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP(7867).
A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
