Almost 6,000 Without Power in Calcasieu Parish

At 5:15 pm Tuesday, June 16, 5,928 Entergy customers were without power in Calcasieu Parish. Most of the outages appeared to be south of Country Club Road in Lake Charles, but there were also a few in other parts of the parish. According to the Entergy outage map, many of the outages began around 4 pm. Entergy did not specify what caused the outages, but they may have been caused by scattered storms that moved across the area.
Entergy indicated that power is expected to be restored around 6 pm for most customers.
