Alleged Human Trafficker Caught by Louisiana State Police at Lake Charles Casino

Lake Charles, Louisiana – In November of 2023, the Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division (LSP GED) launched an investigation into alleged human trafficking, leading to the arrest of Jarvis Renfro, a 40-year-old from Houston, Texas. Renfro was apprehended for recruiting multiple women to perform explicit acts in exchange for money.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Renfro and the female victims were staying at a local casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana. On November 16, 2023, Renfro was interviewed and then taken into custody for his alleged involvement in human trafficking. He also faced charges of promoting prostitution, inciting prostitution, and soliciting prostitutes. Renfro was held at the Calcasieu Correctional Center with a bond set at $575,000.00.
