Louisiana Casinos to Shut Down for At Least 14 Days

Starting March 17, 2020, all twenty commercial casinos in Louisiana will be required to close their doors for at least 14 days to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). This does not affect tribal casinos as they are not subject to Louisiana state laws and guidelines.
Video poker parlors are also not affected by this.
Gaming revenue now surpasses oil and gas revenue in the Louisiana state budget and currently makes up approximately 10% of state revenue.
