Adult and Two Teen Suspects Captured in Louisiana Shortly After Multiple Vehicle Burglaries in Thibodaux

Thibodaux, Louisiana – An adult and two teen suspects were captured in Louisiana shortly after multiple vehicle burglaries in Thibodaux.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported that three suspects believed to have carried out multiple vehicle burglaries in Thibodaux, Louisiana were quickly located and arrested. Shannon Thomas, a 27-year-old from Thibodaux, along with two minors, have been charged in connection to the case.

Deputies responded to calls about car burglaries on Thoroughbred Park Drive in Thibodaux, Louisiana on the morning of September 3, 2023. During the investigation, deputies also encountered individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions on nearby California Street. These individuals included Thomas and two adolescent males.

Investigators discovered surveillance footage that showed the suspects going through vehicles and found additional evidence pointing to car burglaries. They later found out that they had caught the suspects in less than half an hour following the crimes.

Thomas has been detained and put into custody at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. He is facing charges that include five instances of burglary, two attempted burglaries, and two charges for aiding in the misconduct of minors. His bail has been fixed at $330,000.

The Juvenile Justice Facility in Thibodaux is where the two teenagers were situated. They face the same burglary and attempted burglary allegations, just like Thomas.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
