A suspect is in custody after a vehicle pursuit through parts of Calcasieu and Cameron Parishes.

A suspect is in custody after a vehicle pursuit through Calcasieu and Cameron Parishes and a brief foot pursuit.

On June 4 starting at approximately 10:45 am, the Louisiana State Police was involved in a vehicle pursuit in Calcasieu Parish that ended in the Sweet Lake area of Cameron Parish off LA Hwy 384 just east of Hackett’s Corner. The suspect then ran from the vehicle on foot into a field and was ultimately captured a short time later. The Louisiana State Police, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office were all involved in the search. The Louisiana State Police is the lead investigating agency in this case.
