A Starks High School Student has been Arrested After Allegedly Threatening a School Shooting

Starks, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted on December 15, 2021, at around 9:00 p.m. about a probable threat made on social media by a student at Starks High School.
During the initial investigation, investigators discovered that the 14-year-old boy had made a threat of a school shooting. He was arrested and charged with terrorizing and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers Stephen Arnold and Russell Cox and Detective Monte Gentry are the lead investigators on this case.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
