A 14-Year-Old Student in Louisiana has Been Arrested for Making a Bomb Threat Against a Teacher’s Home.
Starks, Louisiana – A 14-year-old Starks High School student in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana has been arrested for making a bomb threat against a teacher’s home. The student had not taken any action to carry out the threat.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office stated on December 13, 2022, that on December 12, CPSO responded to a complaint regarding a Starks High School student who threatened to bomb a teacher’s home.
Detectives discovered throughout their investigation that the 14-year-old student made the threat in class. In addition, the investigation discovered that the student had not made any action to carry out the threat. The minor was taken into custody and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center. He is being charged with communicating false information of planned arson (bomb threat).
Detective Roger Pete of the CPSO is the primary investigator in this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
