St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana - Louisiana State Police announced that a multi-day child exploitation investigation has led to the arrest of five people on charges related to child sexual exploitation.

The operation, concluded on January 30, 2025, was led by the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP/SVU) in coordination with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Covington Police Department, according to information released by state authorities.

Two arrests were handled by LSP/SVU detectives, while three additional arrests were made by the Covington Police Department. Officials did not immediately release details about the three individuals arrested by Covington police.

Two Suspects Booked Into St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center

Louisiana State Police identified the two individuals arrested by state detectives as:

  • Kevin M. Pierre, 26, of Folsom
  • Mayfield J. Lee, 44, of Metairie

Both Pierre and Lee were charged with:

  • Indecent Behavior with Juveniles
  • Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor
  • Attempted Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

Authorities stated that Pierre and Lee were booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center. No bond information or court dates were provided in the initial release.

Multi-Agency Child Exploitation Operation

The investigation was conducted over several days and involved cooperation between multiple law enforcement agencies. Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit detectives worked alongside:

  • The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
  • The Covington Police Department

Such joint operations are commonly used in child exploitation cases that involve online activity, digital evidence, and possible suspects or victims across different jurisdictions. Multi-agency task forces often share investigative resources, undercover officers, and forensic tools to identify and track individuals believed to be exploiting minors.

While authorities confirmed that the overall operation resulted in five arrests, they did not release further details about the three cases handled by the Covington Police Department, including the names of those suspects, specific charges, or whether they were booked into the same correctional facility.

Cases Remain Under Investigation

Louisiana State Police stated that the cases remain under investigation. No additional information was provided about potential victims, how the suspects were initially identified, or whether further arrests are expected.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
