Lake Charles, Louisiana - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested four suspects and is searching for a fifth following a series of vehicle burglaries and firearm thefts at a Lake Charles nightclub parking lot in late September.
Between September 21 and 28, the Sheriff's Office Vehicle Crimes Investigative Unit (VCIU) investigated two separate incidents at a club located on Common Street in Lake Charles. Both cases involved vehicles broken into and firearms stolen from the parking lot.
The first burglary occurred on the night of September 20. Deputies responded the following day after a victim reported his gun had been stolen from his truck while it was parked at the club. VCIU detectives obtained video surveillance footage from the scene and identified three suspects: Malik D. Williams, 24, Jerimah D. Victorian, 22, and Jaquaileen L. Victorian, 22, all residents of Lake Charles.
Judge Tony Fazzio signed arrest warrants for all three suspects following the investigation. Between October 16 and October 20, VCIU detectives worked with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Special Operations Group (S.O.G.) to locate and arrest Williams and Jaquaileen Victorian.
Williams was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary, theft of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $225,000. Jaquaileen Victorian faces charges of simple burglary and theft of a firearm with bond set at $150,000.
Jerimah Victorian remains at large. He faces charges of simple burglary and theft of a firearm. The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact them at 491-3605.
One week after the first incident, on September 28, deputies responded to another burglary and firearm theft from a vehicle in the same parking lot. VCIU detectives identified two suspects in this case: Lildell T. Freeman, 20, and Larry T. Hamilton Jr., 21, both of Lake Charles.
Judge Fazzio signed warrants for both suspects following the investigation. Freeman was arrested on October 22 and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on charges of theft of a firearm and simple burglary. His bond was set at $75,000.
Hamilton, who was already incarcerated on unrelated charges, was charged with simple burglary with bond set at $40,000.
CPSO VCIU Detective Seth Abshire serves as the lead investigator on both cases.
The incidents highlight the ongoing issue of firearm thefts from vehicles. Law enforcement agencies across Louisiana have consistently urged gun owners to secure their firearms and avoid leaving them in unattended vehicles, particularly in public parking areas.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
