Harbor Freight Tools Opening New Store In Sulphur At Kenwood Shopping Center

Sulphur, Louisiana – Harbor Freight Tools is hiring for several positions at a new Sulphur location, signaling the national tool retailer’s expansion into the area.

The company has posted job openings on LinkedIn, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter for the upcoming Sulphur store, including positions for store manager, retail sales manager,r and retail stocking manager.

The new Harbor Freight location will be at 1604 Ruth Street in Kenwood Shopping Center, in the former site of Stage, a department store chain that closed its locations in recent years.

No opening date has been announced for the Sulphur store as of publication.

Factory Connection, a clothing store, will be opening in the location that was formerly Stage Shoes and Payless ShoeSource.

Harbor Freight Tools operates as a discount tool and equipment retailer serving both professional tradespeople and do-it-yourself customers. The 45-year-old company has grown into an $8 billion national chain with more than 1,600 stores across 48 states.

The retailer continues aggressive expansion, opening several new locations each week throughout the country. Harbor Freight stores carry more than 7,000 products, including hand tools, generators, air and power tools, shop equipment and automotive tools.

The company positions itself as offering customers quality tools at competitive prices, focusing on providing the right equipment for various jobs and skill levels.

The Sulphur location will mark Harbor Freight’s latest entry into Southwest Louisiana’s retail market. The Kenwood Shopping Center site offers existing infrastructure and visibility along Ruth Street, a commercial corridor in the city.
