Louisiana – A 30-year-old Crowley man remains in custody at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, facing millions of dollars in bond after Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents arrested him on multiple child sex crime charges spanning multiple parishes, including Calcasieu Parish.

Shequan Quimone Moore, 30, of Crowley, Louisiana, was initially arrested Sept. 29, 2025, on charges including two counts of computer aided solicitation of a minor, two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles, one count of production of child sexual abuse material, and one count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. All charges are felonies under Louisiana law.

While Moore remained in custody at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, investigators identified additional victims during their ongoing investigation. This led to Moore being rebooked on one count of indecent behavior with juveniles, 10 counts of production of child sexual abuse materials, and two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Moore now faces an active arrest warrant from Calcasieu Parish related to the same investigation. The Calcasieu Parish warrant charges include one count of trafficking of children for sexual purposes, one count of indecent behavior with juveniles, one count of production of child sexual abuse materials, and one count of third degree rape.

The Calcasieu Parish arrest warrant carries a bond of $3,100,000. Moore’s total bond in Lafayette Parish now stands at $225,000. A hold has been placed on Moore for the Calcasieu Parish charges while he remains in Lafayette Parish custody.

The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation serves as the lead agency on the case, with significant assistance from Homeland Security Investigations. The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office and Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office also provided support during the investigation.

“The high bond on this person is appropriate. He poses a clear and present danger to children,” Attorney General Murrill said. “If you hurt our kids, you will be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I’d like to thank my Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents for their diligent work on this disturbing case. I’d also like to thank Homeland Security Investigations agents, along with deputies from the Acadia Parish and Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office for their assistance on this case.”

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to identify any additional victims.

Computer aided solicitation of a minor involves using electronic communication to solicit sexual activity with someone under 17 years old. Production of child sexual abuse material refers to creating images or videos depicting minors engaged in sexual conduct. Carnal knowledge of a juvenile involves sexual intercourse with someone under 17 when the offender is at least three years older. Trafficking of children for sexual purposes involves recruiting, harboring, or transporting minors for commercial sex acts.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
