Louisiana State Police Investigate In-Custody Death Following Arrest in Kinder

Allen Parish, Louisiana - Louisiana State Police have launched an investigation into an in-custody death that occurred in Allen Parish on September 25, 2025, following a disturbance call in Kinder.

Detectives from the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division's Lake Charles Field Office were called to investigate the incident at the request of the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office shortly before noon on Wednesday.

According to preliminary findings, Allen Parish Sheriff's Office deputies initially responded to a disturbance call at a residence located on Ward Line Road in Kinder. After deputies took a subject into custody at the scene, the individual began showing signs of medical distress.
