I-10 Westbound Lane Closures at Exit 4 Near Vinton Extended for Road Maintenance

Vinton, Louisiana — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that an overnight closure of the left lane of Interstate 10 Westbound at Exit 4, near Vinton has been extended. The closure started on June 23. The lane will now be closed again from 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The closure will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, as maintenance crews perform necessary roadway work in the area.

This scheduled lane closure, covering mile markers 4 to 5, is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the heavily traveled I-10 corridor through Calcasieu Parish. Local and through traffic should expect delays, especially during overnight travel. DOTD urges motorists to use caution and be aware of work crews and equipment in the construction zone.

DOTD reminds drivers to observe posted signage and reduce speed in work zones.
