Homer, Louisiana - A single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 3062 near Meadors Lane on November 25 resulted in the death of 39-year-old Tansay Harper of Homer, Louisiana. The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. when a 2013 Dodge pickup, driven by Harper, exited the roadway and collided with a tree before overturning.
According to the preliminary investigation conducted by Louisiana State Police Troop G, Harper's vehicle was traveling west on Louisiana Highway 3062 when it veered off the road for reasons that are still under investigation. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As part of the ongoing investigation, routine toxicology samples were collected from the driver, and the results will be analyzed to determine if impairment was a contributing factor to the crash. However, at this time, it is unknown whether the driver was impaired.
