Louisiana Single-Vehicle Crash on LA 48 in St. Charles Parish Results in Fatality

Saint Rose, Louisiana - A single-vehicle crash occurred early Wednesday morning on LA 48 (River Road) in St. Charles Parish, resulting in the death of 39-year-old Chantell Narcisse of Saint Rose, Louisiana.

According to the Louisiana State Police, the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. on October 9, 2024. Narcisse was driving a 2013 GMC Acadia east on LA 48, approaching West Pin Oak Drive, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway. The GMC Acadia then impacted a tree and subsequently struck a brick wall surrounding an adjacent property.

The preliminary investigation, conducted by Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop B, revealed that Narcisse was unrestrained at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead on the scene. Standard toxicology samples were collected and have been submitted for analysis to determine if any substances contributed to the incident.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not released any further information at this time.
