Lincoln Parish, Louisiana - A single-vehicle fatal crash on LA 33 near Pylant Road early Sunday morning has resulted in the death of 20-year-old Owen Robinson of Ruston, Louisiana. Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to the incident shortly after 5:00 a.m. on July 07, 2024.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Robinson was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 northbound on LA 33 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. The use of restraints is currently unknown.
Louisiana State Police indicated that impairment and speed are suspected to be contributing factors in this crash. Toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.
