Lake Charles Lane Closures Scheduled for Nelson Road and Cagle Lane

Lake Charles, Louisiana - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced daily lane closures at the intersection of LA 1138-2 (Nelson Road) and Cagle Lane in Lake Charles, Louisiana effective from Tuesday, July 9, 2024, to Thursday, July 11, 2024. The closures are necessary to facilitate traffic signal maintenance in the area.

During the closures, the northbound right thru lane on LA 1138-2 will be closed, and Cagle Lane will be restricted to right-out only. Additionally, southbound left turns will be restricted. However, motorists heading north on LA 1138-2 will still be able to turn right onto West Prien Lake Road.

The lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid any potential delays. The traffic signal maintenance is essential to ensuring the safety and efficiency of the intersection, and the closures are necessary to complete the work.
