Westlake, Louisiana - A significant incident at the Biolab plant in Westlake, Louisiana, has prompted authorities to shut down a section of Interstate 10, diverting traffic to Interstate 210.
According to the Louisiana State Police, both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-10 are closed from milemarker 25 to milemarker 35 due to the incident. As a result, all traffic is being rerouted to I-210 to ensure the safety of motorists and emergency responders.
The Lake Charles Police Department is also assisting with the diversion, redirecting westbound traffic on I-10 starting from the Ryan Street exit. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions of law enforcement officials and signs indicating the diversion route.
