New Development in Lafourche Parish Crash Case: Body Found Near LA Hwy 308 Confirmed as Missing Man

Lafourche Parish, Louisiana - Louisiana State Police announced on March 10, 2024, that the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office had received a report on March 8 about a dead body found in Bayou Lafourche near the 1800 block of LA Hwy 308. Troopers confirmed the body belonged to Gilbert Bunch Jr. who was discovered around 6 miles south of where the crash initially occurred.

The incident is still being investigated.

So far in 2024, Troop C has investigated 5 deadly crashes that led to 5 deaths.
